Air Traffic Between Serbia And Croatia To Be Re-established Following A Break Of Over 10 Years

Croatian tourist agency Bantel said it will introduce charter flights on the Zagreb-Belgrade line in mid-September, in a move that will re-establish air traffic between Serbia and Croatia following a hiatus of over ten years.

The trial flight is scheduled for September 9, Bantel head Ante Balic told Croatian news agency Hina, adding that a return ticket will be priced at E260.

Bantel will operate two scheduled charter flights a week from Zagreb to Belgrade. However, visitors from Belgrade will not be able to travel to Croatia for lack of an air traffic agreement between Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro, Balic added.

The flights will mainly target Croatian businessmen working with companies from Serbia, whose number, according to the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, amounts to 400.

Balic announced flights on the Pula-Zagreb-Belgrade line, adding that the company is also mulling flights from Zagreb to the Kosovo capital of Pristina.
