EU continues to urge Serbia to Cooperate with The Hague

Javier Solana, who is the EU's special representative for common foreign and security policies, told visiting Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica in Brussels on 4 November that Serbia must cooperate with the Hague-based international war crimes tribunal.

Kostunica said the best way to cooperate with the tribunal is the voluntary surrender of war crimes indictees, as was shown by indicted Colonel Ljubisa Beara, Tanjug reported.

After his surrender in mid-October, Beara had called upon other indictees to do the same in order to ease the pressure on Serbia.
