Senate agrees with lifting Zelezny's immunity

The Senate yesterday complied with the recommendation of its mandate and immunity committee and supported an indictment of Senator and TV Nova CEO Vladimir Zelezny.

Out of 80 present senators, 61 voted for lifting Zelezny’s immunity and five voted against.

Zelezny expressed his disappointment after the vote, saying the Senate missed the chance to prove it had been manipulated. He alluded to his previously voiced suspicions that some facts in the police warrant delivered to the Senate were distorted.
