Poland Says Oil Deliveries Via Belarus Disrupted

January 8, 2007 -- The Polish Economy Ministry said today the country is suffering disruptions in oil deliveries from a pipeline that crosses Belarus.

Ministry spokesman Agnieszka Gapys told the AP news agency "there are disruptions," but could provide no further details on the problem.

Meanwhile, the Polish pipeline company PERN confirmed that deliveries of Russian crude oil to Poland and Germany have been cut off at Poland's eastern border with Belarus

The Russian Druzhba, or Friendship, pipeline carries Russian supplies, via Belarus, to Poland and Western Europe.
