Wrocław looks set to win LG’s EUR 1 billion investment

It is very probable that the LG Philips concern will invest about EUR 1 billion near Wrocław.

The final decision will be made next week. The Korean company wants to construct two production plants, which would result in the creation of 10,000-12,000 jobs. LG Philips is also considering a location in Slovakia.

If, however, Philips chooses the Polish site, it will be the largest foreign investment in the history of democratic Poland. On Sunday, representatives of the Polish government are going to Korea to negotiate directly with LG Philips.

According to unofficial sources, the president of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz, will also participate in the talks in Seoul.
